Cherylyn Gnadt

Cherylyn is a muralist, printmaker, and mixed-media artist. A designer by trade – composition, color, and effective use of resources are second nature. Building up layers of paint, carving into the wood for relief printmaking, and tinkering with ephemera are all part of processing her life’s journal. Her work relies heavily on intuition and exploration of makery processes – such as collage, painting, variant relief printmaking, and assemblage.

Her traditional drawing and painting background originates from the American Academy of Art (1992). She graduated from Elmhurst University with a degree in Communications and minor in Fine Art (2017) and also holds a certificate for non-profit management from UIC (2020).
