Evalyn Holy

I began my career as a high school Chemistry teacher. I spent my time experimenting with mixing chemicals as well as studying the intricacies of the atoms and molecules that make up matter.

After retirement, I decided to take up my childhood passion for drawing and painting.

I began my artistic adventures with watercolors, pen and ink, and pastels. In more recent years, I have expanded to acrylic, oils, and gouache.  My current passion is digital art using Procreate and Procreate Dreams on an iPad. I am primarily a representational artist, but have recently been experimenting with abstract concepts.

I am inspired by the natural world and its inhabitants. As a fervent animal lover, I often feature animals in my paintings. I am also fascinated by the human face and form, and now spend much of my artistic time trying to capture their essence on paper.

I feel compelled to create art. I love experimenting with new materials and techniques
