Prince Harry said this, so do I.

I lost my best friend five years ago. With no words to describe my grief, I started painting.

Today, I still grieve, still paint … with purpose … with emotion.

With curves and curls. With twists and swirls. With uncertain certainty.

I had to be emotionally flummoxed to find my own visual language.

Deep loss = deep curiosity. I lost her but gained me … slowly … creatively.

The results are different from others. Has to be. No other way.

My artistic purpose now is to be different but good … inviting … invigorating … enlightening.

To find color amidst the chaos.
