Robert Yurgaitis

My objective is to capture the spirit of the subject, keeping an open mind to the influences as they happen. My emotional response to a subject is carried through using strong color, in a non-objective manner, pushed to the edge of being expressionist. The physical presence of texture is emphasized to enhance my compositional goals. My work is somewhat non-representational with a link to the real world, which allows the viewer to personally interpret the piece – a collaborative experience.
