Sounds Good Choir Seeks Board Members

Sounds Good Choir — Chicago's largest no-audition choir for older adults and the only local choir for adults with early-stage dementia — is recruiting new Board of Directors members as it marks its 10th anniversary and plans for continued growth.

The organization is especially seeking expertise in marketing/communications, fundraising, finance/accounting, nonprofit management, and gerontology/dementia care. The board currently has 6 members, with two new members joining shortly and a goal of reaching 11 by the end of 2027.

Time commitment: 4 board meetings/year (Zoom, 3rd Fridays of Feb/May/Aug/Nov, noon–1:30pm), committee work as needed, and a 3-year term (renewable once).
