The DuPage Art League is a not-for-profit art school and gallery. Our mission is to promote and encourage the visual arts through classes, workshops, gallery exhibits, free public fine arts programs, and scholarships to students. DPAL offers classes at all levels for adults and children; opportunities for artists to showcase their work through monthly gallery shows; free Monday Night Open Programs offered in partnership with the Wheaton Public Library; and a gift shop.

DPAL was founded in 1957 by Anne Miller, Ruth Watkins, Myra Bakke, Lee Jens, and Carole Fischer. In 1959, the League was incorporated as a not-for-profit organization by the original founders and was granted 501 (c) (3) status. Its stated purpose was “to promote art consciousness and provide a meeting space for painting sessions and kindred arts.”

The DPAL School and Gallery are located at 218 W. Front St., Wheaton. For information on classes, programs, or gallery shows, call 630.653.7090 or visit dupageartleague.org.
