YOUR GUIDE TO ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT IN DUPAGE COUNTY
The West Suburban Lapidary Club’s mission is to foster the development of the lapidary arts and jewelry craftsman and
to increase public interest in hand crafted gems and jewelry. WSLC was founded in 1959 by a group of enthusiasts in Elmhurst, Illinois. Although the club maintains an emphasis on lapidary arts, jewelry design and fabrication, many members have different or additional interests; such as collecting and classifying rocks and minerals, silversmithing and fossil collecting. Specialties among WSLC’s members cover the whole range of achievement from beginner to recognized authority. These specialties range from faceting, cabochon cutting, jewelry design, silversmithing, wire wrapping, chain maille, carving, and tumbling.
The WSLC School of Lapidary Arts re-located and re-opened in 2024 to Westmont, IL when we proudly partnered with Reentel International Inc. The West Suburban Lapidary Club’s School currently offers cabbing classes consist of 5 sessions, each 3 hours. Additionally, we offer unique specialty classes as instructors become avaliable including silversmithing, wire wrapping, chain maille, and more!
