YOUR GUIDE TO ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT IN DUPAGE COUNTY
Memorial Park is nestled just north of downtown Wheaton. In mid-2020 the finishing touches of a 5-million-dollar renovation were completed to create an enhanced Veterans Memorial Area, new state-of-the-art bandshell, multi-use event space for ceremonies and gatherings, and the Lions terrace overlooking the park from the Mary Lubko Center, which is located on the northwest corner of the park.
Owned and operated by the Wheaton Park District, Memorial Park is the district’s oldest park which was obtained through a land acquisition in December of 1921 from the estate of Judge Elbert Gary. The original bandshell was constructed in 1958.
With a venue capacity of 1,820 seated or 2,630 standing, this venue offers an intimate concert or entertainment experience complete with the natural shading of the park’s breathtaking trees and landscaping. The entertainment season at Memorial Park will run from May through early October each year and will offer a wide range of entertainment.
